Contact BPHC

The Boston Public Health Commission, the country’s oldest health department, is an independent public agency providing a wide range of health services and programs. It is governed by a seven-member board of health appointed by the Mayor of Boston​.

BPHC is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our patients and their medical information. The Office of Communications provides Boston EMS transport information to the media in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

To inquire about a transport made by Boston EMS, members of the media should call 617-343-6976 during the regular business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. For information after hours or on weekends, please email media@bostonems.org or call 857-393-0002.

In addition to limited on-street parking, parking is available for a fee of $5, with ticket validation. The fee is paid through the machines located on the 2nd floor near the elevator bay. Visitors should never park in the CVS parking lot, as they tow regularly.

  • School Based Health Center Offices are located at 723 Mass Ave ground floor.  
  • BAHEC and Youth Development Programs are located at 727 Mass Ave ground floor.  
  • BAHEC administration, Peer Leadership, Health Crew and CAFH Administration are located on the Mezzanine Floor.  Ring the doorbell for the mezzanine offices.

The building is accessible by MBTA buses #57 and #64. The closest bus stop is Commonwealth Ave. @ Babcock St.
