Mattapan Coffee Hour with the Mayor

Join Mayor Michelle Wu and City Staff for coffee and conversation!

April 29, 2025
2025-04-29T10:00:00 - 2025-04-29T11:00:00

Mattapan Coffee Hour

Mayor Wu’s Neighborhood Coffee Hours offer a unique opportunity to speak directly with the Mayor and staff from City departments about City services and resident concerns. Through personal conversations, and a suggestion box at each site, Mayor Wu looks forward to hearing how the City of Boston can improve parks, public areas, and City services.

A neighborhood staple known for bringing the community together over a cup of coffee, Dunkin’ is back to fuel the conversation with iced coffee and donuts. Dunkin’ will also provide lawn game activities for attendees, gift card giveaways, and the opportunity for residents to win a raffle prize. Free flowering plants will be provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, while supplies last. Fresh fruit will be provided by Star Market.

Coffee hours are held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., unless otherwise noted due to inclement weather.

Age Strong is conducting a needs assessment to learn more about the needs, concerns, and priorities of Boston’s older adults. Information will be gathered via surveys, focus groups, and listening sessions to learn more about the experiences of older adults and their caregivers. The goal is to create an Age Strong Plan which aims to make Boston inclusive and accessible to people of all ages. This is a valuable opportunity to let your voice be heard! We want to hear your ideas about how we can make Boston a better place to age.

Language interpretation and translation services and disability accommodations are available to you at no cost. If you need them, please contact Ava Portela at ava.portela@boston.gov, or call 617-635-1953.

This event will also include a showcase of adaptive e-bikes for adults with disabilities, who can not access traditional cycling.

For those interested and eligible to apply for vouchers through the Boston E-Bikes Incentive Program or MA Statewide E-Bike Program, we will be available to help with applications if needed.

Information about location:

The event will take place in the parking lot of BCYF Mildred / Mildred School. It is located at 5 Mildred Ave, Mattapan, MA 02126. The closest bus stop is Blue Hill Ave @Mattapan Street (outbound) and Blue Hill Ave at Mattapan Library (inbound), and you can take the following buses:
