The Youth Climate Leaders Program is meant to develop and give the necessary tools to take climate leadership in a constantly changing climate. The program culminates in workshops that expose them to different leaders in the climate and environment field to start preparing them for the future of climate change. They will also learn how to organize climate actions and undertake/support the efforts that they are leading. Due to the vulnerability that youth pose, not only now, but in the future as the impacts of climate change are exacerbated, they must take leadership now and develop the framework by which they address climate change.

This event will be for focus on leadership development for High School students in the Boston area. If you are interested in attending this workshop, sign up online:

This workshop is a part of the Equity Dialogue initiative, which addresses climate change from the inherent inequities of climate change. Though climate change will affect all Bostonians, many Bostonians are more vulnerable to climate change. Climate change will have a greater negative effect on these groups. The Equity Dialogues focus on the most climate vulnerable populations to encourage greater dialogue on the importance of social equity in addressing climate change. This is with the goal of utilizing the conversations to foster greater social resilience for Boston communities.

These populations include:
  • older adults
  • youth
  • people of color
  • women
  • people with disabilities (mobility, cognitive, sensory), and
  • citizens experiencing homelessness.

If you are interested in participating in this conversation or interested in hosting an Equity Dialogue conversation for your community members, please make sure to complete our online registration. There is an Equity Dialogue for each of the most vulnerable groups to climate change.
