Public Facilities Commission Meeting (PFD)

ATTENDANCE
On March 29, 2023, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020, Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through March 31, 2025. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually. This enables the PFC to conduct its usual business while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

These practices in effect since May 11, 2020, will remain in effect until further notice. Updates to these practices will be posted as appropriate.

Contract to The Galante Architecture Studio, Inc.: To provide architectural design services through construction documents associated with the Engine 3 Fire Station project located at 618 Harrison Avenue, South End.Contract Price: $1,840,470That the Director be, and hereby is, authorized to request from the Mayor, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, written authority to award a contract, pursuant to a publicly advertised request for the qualifications under M.G.L. c. 7C, sections 44-57 with advertisements appearing in the Boston Globe on November 20, 2023 and City Record on November 13, 2023 and in the COMMBUYS and Central Register on November 22, 2023, to The Galante Architecture Studio, Inc., a Massachusetts corporation with an office at 110 Chauncy Street, Suite 200, Boston, MA 02111. Under the terms of this contract, The Galante Architecture Studio, Inc. will provide architectural design services through construction documents associated with the Engine 3 Fire Station project located at 618 Harrison Avenue, South End. The term of this contract shall be 60 weeks from the date of execution at a cost not to exceed $1,840,470, including $981,750 for base services and $858,720 for additional services, which is a fixed fee of 7.50% based on an estimated construction cost of $18,700,000.The Director is, also, authorized to execute such contract, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.
