RE: COVID-19, Temporary Practices
ATTENDANCE
In accordance with Governor Baker's July 14, 2022, Act Extending Certain COVID-19 Measures Adopted During the State of Emergency, with respect to the Open Meeting Law, the Act extends, until March 31, 2023, the remote meeting provisions of the Governor’s March 12, 2020, Executive Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will be conducting its meetings virtually. This enables the PFC to conduct its usual business while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

These practices in effect since May 11, 2020, will remain in effect until further notice. Updates to these practices will be posted as appropriate.

Amendment to the vote of December 15, 2021: Regarding a contract with Sasaki Architects, P.C. to provide design and construction administration services associated with the Boston City Hall and Plaza Renovations, Phase II project, located at 1 City Hall Square.
Increase of $3,962,500 and Time Extension
That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of July 18, 2018 and, thereafter, amended on May 15, 2019 and December 15, 2021 regarding a contract with Sasaki Architects, P.C. to provide architectural design and construction administration services associated with the Boston City Hall and Plaza Renovation, Phase II project;
be, and hereby is, amended as follows:
By deleting the following words and figures: “September 11, 2023, at a cost not to exceed $10,418,296, including $4,007,661 for additional services, which is a fixed fee of 8.24% based on an estimated construction cost of $75,000,000.” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “September 11, 2025, at a cost not to exceed $14,380,796, including $3,962,500 for additional services, which is a fixed fee of 8.37% based on an estimated construction cost of $25,000,000.”
AND, FURTHER VOTED: The Director is also authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.
