City Council Committee on Ways and Means hearing on Dockets #0524-0531, 0538-0539, FY22 Budget: Environment Department, Environment Revolving Funds

One of a series of hearings to review the FY22 Budget. The focus of this hearing is the FY22 budget for the Environment Department, including the Conservation Commission and Landmarks. This hearing will also cover Environment Department revolving funds.

    ATTENDANCE

    In accordance with Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020, Executive Order modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law and relieving public bodies of certain requirements, including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the City Council will be conducting all or part of this hearing virtually. This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means. The public may watch these hearings via livestream at boston.gov/city-council-tv and via broadcast on Xfinity 8/RCN 82/Fios 964.

    PUBLIC TESTIMONY

    Public testimony is an integral part of the Council’s budget review process. There are several ways you may testify.

    Email written testimony to the Committee email below. Written testimony will be made a part of the record and available to all councilors.

    Record and upload a video using our online submission form. Videos submitted two business days in advance or more of the relevant departmental or public testimony hearing will be played then. If your video is submitted past the deadline it will be played during the next dedicated public testimony hearing.

    Testify live at the hearing via Zoom. Public testimony will be taken at the end of each departmental hearing.  Please sign up using our online form and a staff member will be in touch with the hearing’s Zoom login information. Participants will be called in the order they have signed up and granted microphone access when called. Please use your full name as your zoom handle and keep your comments to two minutes per person.
