City Council meeting

The City Council is holding a meeting on March 4 at 12 p.m.

    0451    Message and order authorizing the City Boston to accept and expend the amount of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Market Development Program, awarded by the MA Center of Excellence Corporation to be administered by the Environment Department. The grant will fund the City's procurement of a solar storage system at Moon Island which will provide a critical training asset to the City and the region's emergency response and inspection service professionals.

    0452    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Four Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($130,415.00) in the form of a grant, for the Fair Housing Assistance Program, awarded by the United States Department of Housing & Urban Development to be administered by the Fair Housing and Equity Commission. The grant will fund the processing of housing discrimination complaints received by the Boston Fair Housing & Equity Commission.

    0453    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Twelve Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Dollars and Fifty-Eight Cents ($12,880.58) in the form of a charitable donation, awarded by the Joe Gallant Memorial Foundation to be administered by the Police Department. The grant will fund a $6,000.00 pilot program offering yoga to BPD personnel at the Police Academy and would also provide $6,880.58 towards the renovation and installation of enhanced technology at the District 4 Community Room for on-site community meetings.
