Victoria Phillips
As the Climate and Environmental Planning Project Manager, Victoria supports Carbon Free Boston, the City’s initiative to become carbon neutral by 2050, and Zero Waste Boston (ZWB), the City’s first-ever zero waste plan. In this role, she contributes to the advancement of these initiatives through the development of public education, programs and policy.
For Carbon Free Boston, Victoria has implemented and manages the Community Clean Air Grant program. Along with developing various public education campaigns, programs and policies, Victoria’s work for Zero Waste Boston most recently includes advancing deconstruction practices in the city and creating initiatives to achieve ZWB recommendations for the institutional, commercial, and industrial (ICI) sector.
Before joining the Environment Department, Victoria served as a Planner for the Boston Planning and Development Agency. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Victoria received her bachelor’s from Cornell University in City and Regional Planning concentrating in Environmental Sciences and Sustainability.
