COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR, THE MAYOR:
1183 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to apply for, accept, and expend Federal Fiscal Year 2019 Continuum of Care Program grant funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Three Million Dollars ($33,000,000.00). These funds will be used to support programs that provide services and housing to the homeless.
1184 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Four Hundred Ninety-Three Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Seven Cents ($493,128.77) in the form of a grant, for the FY20 State 911 Training Grant, awarded by MA Executive Office of Public Safety & Security to be administered by the Police Department. The grant will fund the training and certification of Enhanced 911 telecommunications staff.
1185 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept a donation of a sculpture from Boston Properties Prucenter Acquisition LLC. The sculpture is appraised at Three Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($360,000.00). The Sculpture is described as follows: "Quest Eternal" by Donald DeLue, the sculpture is approximately 27 feet in height and is made of Bronze.
1186 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Hundred Three Thousand Four Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($103,413.00) in the form of a grant, for the FY20 Co-Respond Grant, awarded by MA Department of Mental Health to be administered by the Police Department. The grant will fund a full-time Master's-level Mental Health Clinician to co-respond with officers in Police Districts B-2 and B-3, and a part-time Certified Peer Specialist.
1187 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) in the form of a grant for No Kid Hungry, awarded by Share Our Strength to be administered by the Office of Food Access. The grant will fund FoodCorps members and add staff capacity to the Office of Food Access in order to implement the Breakfast After the Bell Program in Boston Public Schools.
1188 Message and order authorizing the City Boston to accept and expend the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Rudy Bruner Award for Excellence, awarded by the Bruner Foundation to be administered by the Office of Economic Development. The grant will fund promotion of the vacant commercial space at the prow of the Bruce C. Bolling Building.

MATTERS RECENTLY HEARD-FOR POSSIBLE ACTION:
1104 Message and order approving an appropriation of Two Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,200,000.00) for the purpose of paying for the costs of a feasibility study and schematic design work associated with the renovation or new construction of a facility for the Josiah Quincy Upper School. Upon completion of the feasibility study, the City of Boston may be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority, said amount to be expended under the direction of the Public Facilities Department on behalf of Boston Public Schools.
