Public Facilities Commission Meeting (PFD)

 

Contract to Oudens Ello Architecture, LLC: To conduct a programming and feasibility study associated with the Fields Corner Branch Library Study project located at 1520 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, Massachusetts.

 

 

That the Director be, and hereby is, authorized to request from the Mayor, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, written authority to award a contract, pursuant to a publicly advertised request for qualifications under M.G.L. c.7C, sections 44-57 with advertisements appearing in the Boston Globe and City Record on May 7, 2018 and the Central Register on May 9, 2018, to Oudens Ello Architecture, LLC a Massachusetts corporation with an office at 46 Waltham Street, Suite 210, Boston, MA 02118. Under the terms of this contract, Oudens Ello Architecture, LLC will conduct a programming and feasibility study associated with the Fields Corner Branch Library Study project. The term of this contract shall be 52 weeks from the date of execution at a cost not to exceed $100,000, including $10,000 for additional services. The Director is, also, authorized to execute such contract, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.

 

 

 

Amendment to the vote of May 16, 2018: Regarding a contract with The Vertex Companies, Inc. to provide owner project manager services associated with the Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) 2017 Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) at Seven (7) Boston Public Schools located in Dorchester, East Boston, Roslindale and Roxbury.

 

 

That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of October 26, 2017, and, thereafter, amended on May 16, 2018, regarding a contract with The Vertex Companies, Inc. to provide owner project manager services associated with the Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) for Seven (7) Boston Public Schools located at:

 

William E. Russell Elementary School, K1-5, 750 Columbia Road, Dorchester

Up Academy Dorchester, K1-8, (f/k/a John Marshall School), 35 Westville Street, Dorchester

Hugh R. O'Donnell Elementary School, K1-5, 33 Trenton Street, East Boston

East Boston High School, 9-12, 86 White Street, East Boston

Charles Sumner Elementary School, K1-5, 15 Basile Street, Roslindale

Maurice Tobin School, K2-8, 40 Smith Street, Roxbury

James P. Timilty Middle School, 6-8, 205 Roxbury Street, Roxbury

 

be, and hereby is, amended as follows:

 

By deleting the following words and figures: “at a cost not to exceed $603,350” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “at a cost not to exceed $795,520.”

 

The Director is, also, authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.

 

 

 

Amendment to the vote of May 16, 2018: Regarding a contract with The S/L/A/M Collaborative, Inc. to provide design and construction administration services associated with the Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) at Seven (7) Boston Public Schools located in Dorchester, East Boston, Roslindale and Roxbury.

Amendment to the vote of July 20, 2016: Regarding a contract with Dore & Whittier Architects, Inc. to provide architectural design and construction administration services associated with the demolition and new construction of the Boston Fire Department Engine No. 42 project.

 

 

That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of July 20, 2016 regarding a contract with Dore & Whittier Architects, Inc. to provide architectural design and construction administration services associated with the demolition and new construction of the Boston Fire Department Engine No. 42 project;

 

be, and hereby is, amended as follows:

 

By deleting the following words and figures: “October 4, 2019, at a cost not to exceed $829,466, including $259,966 for additional services” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “April 4, 2021, at a cost not to exceed $1,641,893, including $445,643 for additional services, which is a fixed fee of 8.25% based on an estimated construction cost of $14,500,000.”

 

The Director is also authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.
