Workers' Rights Webinar: Health and Safety

Boston Workers, Know Your Rights!

February 24, 2025
2025-02-24T17:30:00 - 2025-02-24T19:00:00

The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) entitles you to a safe workplace, regardless of your documentation status. Your employer must keep your workplace free of known health and safety hazards. You have the right to speak up about unsafe conditions without fear of retaliation and you have the right to workplace health and safety training in a language you understand.

In this webinar, you will learn about:

  • your rights to a safe workplace,
  • how to identify workplace hazards,
  • what kinds of safety equipment might be required on your job,
  • information your employer must share about toxic chemicals, results of tests taken to assess workplace dangers, and records of work-related injuries and illnesses, and
  • how to make a complaint or request an inspection from OSHA and what happens afterward.
