Emily Rose Navarro

Transformative Art and Monuments Project Coordinator

Emily Rose (she/her/hers) is the Transformative Art and Monuments Project Coordinator for the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture (MOAC).

Emily Rose’s journey to MOAC begins with her art practice. As an artist, she is a big advocate for community building and reciprocity by developing interpersonal relationships between artists, curators, institutions, and communities. Emily Rose is committed to making the Greater Boston area more equitable and inclusive for the arts; in the past she has worked with MOAC to serve on the Cultural Advisory Grant Team to strengthen grant making and community-building efforts. Today, Emily Rose is excited to be apart of the MOAC's team to support artists as a part of Un-monument | Re-monument | De-monument: Transforming Boston.

Among her accomplishments, Emily Rose was awarded the Wagner Impact Studio Award, the Opportunity Fund, the Massachusetts Cultural Council Grants for Creative Individuals, the Boston Media Arts Empowerment Award, the Edward Mitchell Bannister National Exhibition: Celebrating BIPOC Artists, and the Copley Society of Art National Show: Crossing Borders Grant.

When Emily Rose isn't creating art, she loves to spend most of her time gardening, hiking, walking/camping in nature, traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
