Jennifer Misiaszek

Program Manager, Parks & Recreation

As a lifelong resident of Boston, her roots run deep within the neighborhoods of the city, and her passion for her community is evident in everything she does. Her background as a standout athlete at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she excelled in both Softball and Basketball, speaks to her dedication to sports and active living. This commitment is then demonstrated by her involvement in promoting healthy lifestyles within the city.

Since joining the City of Boston in 2013, Jennifer has advanced in her career due to her exemplary work ethic and genuine affection for Boston. Her experiences as both an athlete and a parent to two sports-involved children give her a unique perspective on the importance of recreational activities and community engagement. Having once been a participant in city-organized tournaments herself, Jennifer now plays a pivotal role in coordinating these events, drawing from her firsthand understanding of their impact.

Jennifer's blend of experience, passion, and intimate knowledge of Boston's diverse neighborhoods positions her as a driving force within the Boston Parks and Recreation Department. Her goal is to foster a healthier and more vibrant Boston for all residents through her efforts in sports, recreation, and community engagement.
