Public Facilities Commission Meeting (PFD)

ATTENDANCE

On March 29, 2023, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020 Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through March 31, 2025. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually. This enables the PFC to conduct its usual business while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

You can watch these virtual meetings on Boston City TV at Xfinity channel 26, RCN channel 13, Fios channel 962, and livestreaming on our website. If you have any questions for public participation pertaining to this public notice, please email PFC@boston.gov.

These practices in effect since May 11, 2020, will remain in effect until further notice. Updates to these practices will be posted as appropriate.

    Amendment to the vote of November 15, 2023: Regarding a contract with NV5 Consultants, Inc. to provide owner’s project manager (OPM) services associated with the 2022 Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) project at four (4) Boston Public Schools located in Dorchester, Jamaica Plain and Roslindale.
     
    Increase of $700,000 and Time Extension
     
    That the vote of this Commission at its meetings of November 15, 2023 and March 15, 2023 regarding a contract with NV5 Consultants, Inc. to provide owner project manager (OPM) services associated with the 2022 Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) project at four (4) Boston Public Schools located at:
     
    Jeremiah E. Burke High School, 60 Washington Street, Dorchester;
     
    The English High School, 144 McBride Street, Jamaica Plain;
     
    Dennis C. Haley Pilot School, 570 American Legion Highway, Roslindale; and
     
    Dr. William W. Henderson Upper School, 18 Croftland Avenue, Dorchester
     
    be, and hereby is, amended as follows:
     
    By deleting the following words and figures: “May 31, 2024, at a cost not to exceed $195,000, including the requested additional amount of $155,000” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “December 31, 2025, at a cost not to exceed $895,000, including $700,000 for amended base and additional services.”
     
    The Director is, also, authorized to execute such contract amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor and Boston City Council vote of approval for appropriation of funds.

    Increase of $46,500
     
    That the vote of this Commission at its meetings of November 15, 2023 and March 15, 2023 regarding a contract with CSS Architects, Inc. to provide design services associated with the 2022 Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) project at four (4) Boston Public Schools located at:
     
    Jeremiah E. Burke High School, 60 Washington Street, Dorchester;
     
    The English High School, 144 McBride Street, Jamaica Plain;
     
    Dennis C. Haley Pilot School, 570 American Legion Highway, Roslindale; and
