Elijah Richards

Resource Development Manager

Elijah Richards is the Resource Development Manager for the Mayor's Office of Black Male Advancement (BMA). He is responsible for providing resources for Black men and boys in the City of Boston.

Before joining BMA, Elijah, a Boston native, immersed himself in the non-profit sector, particularly through his involvement with the No Books No Ball basketball program where he discovered his passion for working with at-risk youth in his community. As a dedicated youth worker, he provided resources and mentorship to over 500 student athletes annually. His journey continued as a corps member with City Year Boston, where he extended his support and mentorship to young people and families in need.

Outside of work, Elijah enjoys spending time with his family, coaching basketball, and volunteering in his community. He is currently pursuing a degree in management at Southern New Hampshire University, where he hopes to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to continue making a difference in the lives of young people and families.
