Improvements to Byrne Playground

| Park Established 1939 |

Byrne Playground is beloved by the surrounding community. The park has seen piecemeal improvements since 2009, and it is now due for a comprehensive renovation. The renovation will include the playground, sprayground, courts, and passive lawn area. The scope of the work includes community engagement, design, construction, and construction administration.

The site is potentially advantageous for green stormwater infrastructure. It is located near a Heat Vulnerable Focus Area. Design strategies that help increase cooling, expand water access, and increase ecological services will be explored.
