Originally from Memphis, TN, Hali E. Smith is a dynamic force dedicated to creating positive change with close to a decade of public organizing experience. "Change lives by putting purposes and dreams into action." is the mantra that Hali lives by and she has remarkably demonstrated that in the impact she’s been making in her lifetime. For years, Hali spearheaded initiatives focused on combating the school-to-prison pipeline and advocating for national gun control. Her relentless dedication and strategic approach led to significant advancements and inspired meaningful dialogue within the community.

Even serving as the Tennessee Co-Coordinator for March for Our Lives, She led the largest walkout in Tennessee's history in partnership with Shelby County Schools and multiple other districts in West TN, creating a statewide movement that made a nationwide statement.

She pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts with a specialization in Public Relations from Clark Atlanta University where she furthered her dedication to advocacy in the largest historically black academic consortium in the world. During her time at the university, Hali's commitment to learning and growth earned her recognition as a Frederick Douglass Global Fellow. Following in the footsteps of the renowned abolitionist, Hali embarked on transformative study experiences in London and Ireland.

After earning her bachelor’s degree, Hali completed a dual master's program at Hult International Business School based in London, England. She spent a year in London working on her master's degree in International Business where she honed her global perspective and enhanced her strategic thinking and now she is pursuing her final master's in International Marketing at Hult’s Boston, MA USA campus, equipping herself with the knowledge and skills to navigate the ever-evolving business landscape and indelibly inspire a worldwide audience.

Hali hopes that with her experience; personally, professionally, academically, and civically, she will be able to broadcast the stories and perspectives the world had never heard before or doesn't hear enough from people who have been striving to tell them for centuries.
