Project Goals
Oddly shaped parcel requiring ZBA for variance to allow residential, which is strongly opposed by abutters. Community prefers green open space, and
supports allowing abutter to continue using as garden.
This is an undeveloped lot owned by the City of Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development.
The Department of Neighborhood Development acquires surplus and foreclosed property and is responsible for managing this real estate. We work to create housing and open space by making that land available to Bostonians over time through a public Request for Proposals process. This parcel of land is not yet planned for development, but stay tuned!
