A working session to discuss prevention, awareness and action with regard to contaminated beverages in clubs and bars in the City of Boston. This working session, originally scheduled to be held in the Piemonte Room, will now be held virtually via zoom.

    This matter was sponsored by Councilor Gabriela Coletta, Councilor Ruthzee Louijeune, and Councilor Kenzie Bok and was referred to the Committee on January 11, 2023.

    NOTICE:  The Boston City Council may have a quorum in attendance due to standing committees of the City Council consisting of both voting and non-voting members.  However, members attending this duly posted working session are participating and deliberating only in conjunction with the business of the standing committee.

    Public Testimony

    This working session will not include a public comment period.

    Attendance: In accordance with Chapter 107 of the Acts of 2022 modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law and relieving public bodies of certain requirements, including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the City Council will be conducting this working session remotely. This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means. Written comments may be sent to the Committee or staff email (below) and will be made a part of the record and available to all Councilors.
