Rebeca Guevara is the In-House Spanish Translator for the Mayor’s Office of Language and Communication Access (OLCA). In this role, she will be ensuring quality control for Spanish translation in the City of Boston. 

Rebeca graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Boston with a bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Iberian Studies and a concentration in Translation Studies, along with a minor in Portuguese.

Born and raised in El Salvador, she moved to Massachusetts at a young age. Through her experience as an immigrant, she experienced a language barrier and other uncertainties. In her role, she aims to provide language access to other immigrants.
