Mr. Grace is the Director of Economic and Strategic Planning in the Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion for the City of Boston.  He brings many years of experience in the public and private sectors working in planning, design, and development fields. Andrew serves as an advisor to the Chief of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion on place-making, real estate strategy, and high-priority projects.

Andrew also worked at the Massachusetts Port Authority, an independent public authority which develops, owns and manages Massachusetts airports, cruise terminal, and container port as well as the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA), first as a Senior Urban Designer and later as Deputy Director of Strategic Planning & Economic Development. 

Prior to joining the BRA, Mr. Grace was a Senior Project Manager at Goody Clancy, a private planning consulting firm, where he played a leadership role in award-winning revitalization projects and mixed-use neighborhood plans. 

Mr. Grace holds a Master of City Planning and Certificate in Urban Design from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), and a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University. He currently teaches at Boston University, and has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses at M.I.T., Tufts and Roger Williams Universities.
