The City of Boston (“the City”), acting by and through its Chief of the Mayor’s Office of Equity and Inclusion, requests proposals for a qualified contractor for a Vendor Management and Compliance Tracking System for the purpose of tracking City contracting with minority- (MBE) and women-owned businesses (WBE), as particularly set forth in the Request for Proposals, which may be obtained from the City’s purchasing website and Supplier Portal (boston.gov/procurement) under Event ID EV00009271 on or after 9:00 AM, Boston local time, on May 17, 2021. The RFP will remain available until the date and time of the opening of proposals, on June 4th, 2021 at 12:00 PM, Boston local time.

The Office of Equity and Inclusion is seeking a system that includes a process for collecting and reporting on data about minority business enterprise (MBE) and women business enterprise (WBE) subcontracting and comparing them to contract-specific goals. Additionally, the system must provide a means of fully automating the current business processes for MBE/WBE vendor certification.  The vendor management and compliance tracking  system must be a software as a service (“SaaS”) solution. This request for proposals (RFP) is open to any vendor who would like to apply, and the City encourages participation from small, local, minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses. To support equality of opportunity for these businesses, we also encourage respondents to solicit for the subcontracting of goods and services from certified businesses.
