The City of Boston (the “City”), acting by and through its Director of H.R. Shared Services (the “Official”), hereby requests sealed proposals from interested and qualified parties (“Offerors”) interested in providing comprehensive alcohol and drug testing services to the City of Boston. The successful Offeror (the “Vendor”) will provide comprehensive alcohol and drug testing services in accordance with Department of Transportation/Federal Highway Administration (DOT/FHWA) regulations.  

All proposals shall be submitted in strict conformance with the Request for Proposal (“RFP”) which will be posted on the City of Boston’s website and Supplier Portal at boston.gov/procurement under Event ID EV00009217, on or after 9:00am, Boston time, on Monday May 17, 2021. 

We strongly encourage participating Offerors to submit their proposal on-line.  Both online and paper submissions will be due no later than 12:00 pm EST, Thursday, June 3rd, 2021.  The Official shall reject late proposals.

The RFP contains both price and technical evaluation criteria.

The terms of the contract shall not exceed two (2) years commencing on July 1, 2021.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to the public health emergency, our office is closed to the public.  If you want to submit a bid online or register to become City of Boston vendor, go to the City’s Supplier Portal website. City Hall is only open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  If you need to visit City Hall for essential services, you must make an appointment.  Please email purchasing@boston.gov to make an appointment to drop off a non-electronic bid before Thursday June 3rd, 2021.  Thank you !
