Mayor Wu announced a heat emergency in the City of Boston through Wednesday, July 17. Cooling centers will be open at 14 BCYF community centers Monday through Wednesday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Improvements to Millennium Park

Millennium Park is a destination park along the Charles River in West Roxbury. The site is formerly the Gardner Street Landfill. It has been reclaimed as a park using soil excavated from the Big Dig. Current park features include a playground, soccer fields, walking loops, and a canoe launch.

The upcoming renovation will focus on the playground, pathways, and a restroom planning study.
