Voting reminders ahead of the September 1 State Primary

There’s still time to vote ahead of the State Primary on Tuesday, September 1. On Friday, there are three options to ensure your vote is counted:

1. The most effective way to have your vote counted is to vote in person on Election Day, or to vote early. On Friday, City Hall is open for early voting until 5 p.m.
2. If you received a mail-in ballot, please complete and mail your ballot as soon as possible. This can be mailed or placed in a dropbox on the third floor of City Hall until 5 p.m. on Friday.
   • If you have requested a mail-in ballot and have not yet received it, check the status of your application by using the state's website.
   • If you already mailed in your ballot and would like to know the status, you can also check the state's website.
3. If you have concerns about your mail-in ballot arriving on time, please consider voting in person on Election Day. You can find your polling location on the state's website. Before voting in-person, take a look at the health and safety precautions we're putting in place.

1. If you have concerns about your ballot reaching the Election Department in time to be counted (8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1), we encourage you to vote in person on Election Day. Find your polling location. You can review the health and safety precautions we're putting in place for in-person voting.
2. If you are unable to vote in person, there is still time to return your mail-in ballot to the Election Department. To track the status of your mail-in ballot, visit the state's website.
   • You can also return your completed mail-in ballot using the dropbox on the third floor of City Hall on Monday, August 31, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., or on Tuesday, September 1, from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. 
   • For your convenience, an additional dropbox is accessible today, August 29, and tomorrow, August 30, from 9 a.m - 5 p.m. The dropbox is located on the 1st floor of City Hall (entrance via Congress Street).

Remember: All ballots must be received by the Election Department by Tuesday, September 1, at 8 p.m.

• Cast your vote today at your polling location. To find your polling location, visit the state's website. All polls are open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Before voting in-person, take a look at the health and safety precautions we're putting in place.
• You can also return your completed mail-in ballot using the dropbox on the third floor of City Hall or the dropbox at the first-floor entrance (Congress Street) of City Hall from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
