Be Connected: Stories from our employees in Property Management
Each week, we will share updates, quotes, and photos of the inspiring work that our employees are doing in service to our City.
This week’s story is from Property Management.
Property Management's custodial staff are busier than ever these days. From City Hall to 43 Hawkins, 26 Court Street, and 1010 Mass Ave., our custodians are traveling across the City to ensure all of our municipal buildings are clean and safe for a gradual return to our workplaces.
"Thanks to the Custodial team, our buildings are spotless and have never looked better,” said Property Management Commissioner Indira Alvarez. “I can't thank them enough for not only keeping our buildings clean and disinfected but also for making them safe. I am so proud to be in the same department with these dedicated and hardworking individuals."
Our City’s custodial and janitorial staff have been on the frontlines since the start of this pandemic, working tirelessly to prevent the spread of coronavirus in offices, schools, community centers, libraries, and other City buildings. They are the silent superheroes behind the scenes, and they deserve to be celebrated for the work they do to support our workforce and the residents of Boston.
