City Council meeting

The City Council is holding a meeting on February 5 at 12 p.m.

    0191    Message and order extending the City's acceptance of M.G.L. c 32B,  Section 19, to be effective until June 30, 2025 upon my approval and execution of a written agreement with the Public Employee Committee (PEC). The PEC will continue to be the exclusive bargaining representative for the coalition of public employee bargaining units and retirees of the City of Boston with respect to health insurance coverage until June 30, 2025.  The agreement extends reforms agreed upon in the current PEC agreement and adds further saving, estimated to equal approximately $60 million over the five year period. It also anticipates continued efforts to achieve additional saving through future health insurance procurements.
