Winners of 2021 Pumpkin Carving Contest announced!

The Boston Parks Department is excited to announce the winners of our 2021 Pumpkin Carving Contest.

In early October, the Parks Department asked Boston residents to get in the Halloween spirit by participating in our second ever, Pumpkin Carving Contest. Pumpkin carvers were asked to submit photos on the contest website, with three categories in mind: 

  1. Most Creative 
  2. Scariest 
  3. Boston (parks) themed 

We received dozens of original submissions this year, making the final selection process a fun challenge for our judges. After much deliberation, we are excited to announce that the winners of the 2021 Pumpkins Carving Contest, and recipient of a $75 gift basket courtesy of the farm families who own Cabot Creamery Co-operative:

Lisa Lee of Back Bay trapped our hearts with this Boston-themed lobster.

Boston-Themed Category: 

Subway pumpkin
Oliver Basset of Roslindale took us for a ride on the T with our favorite Boston-themed pumpkin this year.

Scariest Category: 

Scary Pumpkin 2021 Kelly Davis
Kelly Davis of South Boston frightened us to our pumpkin guts with this terrifying jack-o-lantern.

We want to thank everyone who participated in this year’s contest and we loved seeing residents of all ages get into the Halloween spirit in a fun and creative way.
