Traffic advisory for Games 1 and 2 of World Series

Games 1 and 2 of the World Series will take place at Fenway Park on the evenings of Tuesday, October 23, and Wednesday, October 24, 2018.  Traffic and parking restrictions will be in effect.

Local drivers are cautioned to detour around the Fenway Park area and fans heading to the game are strongly encouraged to leave their vehicles at home.  Information on Bluebikes, the regional bike share service, may be found at http://bluebikes.com and information on the MBTA may be found at www.mbta.com.  Walking is also a great way to move around Boston.

The following streets will close to truck traffic at 6:00 PM.

  • Brookline Avenue, from Beacon Street to Park Drive
  • Jersey Street, from Boylston Street to Brookline Avenue
  • Ipswich Street, from Boylston Street/Hemenway Street to 1200 Boylston Street
  • Van Ness Street, from Ipswich Street to Kilmarnock Street.

The following streets will close to all motor vehicles at 7:00 PM.

  • Brookline Avenue, from Beacon Street to Park Drive
  • Ipswich Street, from Charlesgate East to Van Ness Street
  • Jersey Street, from Boylston street to Brookline Avenue
  • Lansdowne Street, from Brookline Avenue to Ipswich Street

The following temporary parking restrictions will be in effect.  It is important for drivers to note that the fine for parking in a Fenway/Kenmore Resident Parking space on event days at Fenway Park is $100.
