TRaffic Advisory for August 16 through August 19, 2018
Special events taking place from Thursday, August 16, through Sunday, August 19, will impact traffic and parking on streets in the City of Boston. People coming into the City to enjoy the festivities are encouraged not to drive their personal vehicles. Information on Bluebikes, the regional bike-share service, may be found at http://bluebikes.com and information on the MBTA may be found at www.mbta.com. Walking is also a great way to move around Boston.
Thursday, August 16 – Sunday, August 19
The Fisherman’s Feast in the North End requires multiple street closures and parking restrictions.
The following streets in the North End are currently closed to traffic and will remain so 24 hours each day through 11:59pm on Sunday, August 19.
- Lewis Street, North Street to Commercial Street
- Fulton Street, Richmond Street to Lewis Street
- North Street, North Square to Clark Street
- Clark Street, North Street to Commercial Street
- Fleet Street, Hanover Street to Commercial Street
- Garden Court Street, North Square to Fleet Street
- Moon Street, North Square to Fleet Street
Parking is restricted as follows.
“Tow Zone No Stopping Boston Police Special Event Wednesday to Sunday”
- Lewis Street, both sides, North Street to Commercial Street
- Fulton Street, both sides, Richmond Street to Lewis Street
- North Street, both sides, North Square to Clark Street
- Clark Street, both sides, North Street to Commercial Street
- Fleet Street, both sides, Hanover Street to Commercial Street
- Garden Court Street, both sides, North Square to Fleet Street
- Moon Street, both sides, North Square to Fleet Street
Saturday, August 18
The Wicked Good Festival on the Boston Common will require the following parking restrictions.
“Tow Zone No Stopping Boston Police Special Event Saturday 8am through 8pm”
- Beacon Street, Boston Common side, Charles Street to opposite Joy Street
Sunday, August 19
The Dominican Parade and Festival in Jamaica Plain will require traffic and parking restrictions.
The Dominican Parade will begin at Noon in Hyde Square and proceed along Centre Street, right to Columbus Avenue, right to Walnut Avenue, ending at Seaver Street.
- Hyde Square will close to traffic at approximately 10:30am.
- The remainder of the route will close to traffic at approximately 11:30am.
- The entire route will remain closed until approximately 3:30pm.
Parking will be restricted as follows.

- Centre street, both sides, South Huntington Avenue to Columbus Avenue

- Seaver Street, both sides, Walnut Avenue to Harold Street
- Proctor Street, both sides, Norfolk Avenue to Massachusetts Avenue
- Norfolk Avenue, both sides, Magazine Street to Langdon Street
