Pics in the Parks: Challenge 6 - Focus
Our weekly photography clinic, perfect for social distancing, has weekly challenges to help you hone and improve your photography skills.
Focus
Goals:To use focus in a way to draw attention to the subject of your photograph.
TIPS:Cameras with SLR lenses can narrow the focus of what you are trying to take a picture of. New model smartphones have a “portrait mode” built in to them that can focus on the subject you are taking a photo of. If you are posting using Instagram, hit edit, then select a tilt shift option to add blur to a photo.
Challenge:Make the subject sharp and the background blurry. Draw attention to the subject of your photo using focus.
Submit your photo to be included in our digital photo gallery by emailing Steve.Kruszkowski@Boston.Gov. Submissions may be used for future Boston Parks and Recreation Department marketing purposes.
