At home safety for seniors
As seniors protect themselves from COVID-19 and socially distance, they are spending more time in their homes. This presentation, in partnership with the Boston Fire Department’s Education Unit, which provides fire safety education to over 30,000 residents at an average of 400 events each year, includes valuable information and tips for older adults to stay safe at home.
This virtual presentation is facilitated by Patrice Gattozzi, the nutrition activities coordinator for Ethos, and features Lt. Henry Perkins, public education officer, and Michelle McCourt, public education coordinator.
Lt. Perkins has served on the department for 24 years and his leadership and experience as a front-line firefighter brings a wealth of knowledge on the public safety challenges facing Boston Fire and the importance of fire safety education.
Ms. McCourt brings more than 30 years of experience in marketing, recruitment, and training. For more information about programs and services for older adults in Boston, please visit the Ethos website.
