Excessive Heat Warning in Boston

Mayor Wu issued an excessive heat warning for the City from Wednesday, July 1, through Friday, July 3, due to the heat in the forecast. The City will activate cooling centers, and pools will be open across Boston.

HOME-ARP Plan - Minor Amendment #3

The Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH) has made a Minor Amendment to the Home Investment Partnership–American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) Allocation Plan.

The Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH) has made a Minor Amendment to the Home Investment Partnership–American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) Allocation Plan.  The HOME-ARP funds can be used to provide housing, shelter and services to the homeless and other vulnerable populations in Boston.

Amendment #3 increases Boston’s HOME-ARP grant award by $32,251 for a new total of $21.6 million.  Secondly, the amendment makes $1.3 million in budget adjustments by transferring funds from supportive services and administration and planning to the development of affordable rental housing. 

Because the increased grant amount is less than $100,000 and the budget adjustments are less than 10% ($2.16 million) of the total grant amount of $21.6 million, a Substantial Amendment is not necessary.  MOH is providing notice to HUD and to the Public of these changes but will not provide a public comment period for this Amendment.
