Fall 2016 Imagine Boston 2030 engagement call-to-action

Dear community-based organizations, event coordinators, neighborhood associations, community organizers, and all other groups based in Boston...

First and foremost, thank you for your continued engagement and immeasurable input for Imagine Boston 2030!

Through Guiding Growth, Boston’s residents outlined clear priorities for how Boston can guide our future growth to become an equitable and more inclusive city that responds to the changing needs and challenges of its residents. The Strategic Vision Plan, set for release this fall, outlines specific initiatives and actions for reaching those goals that will inform the Citywide Plan next spring. As we prepare to move forward, Imagine Boston wants to know from our residents: Did we get it right?

Our Engagement Team is looking for opportunities to engage Bostonians to get feedback on the refined strategies, and we need your help! Are you hosting an event, public forum, gathering, or large meeting between September 26 and October 30? Do you want your group to be involved with imagining Boston’s future?

Imagine Boston 2030 would like to send our Engagement Team to your event! We’re creating a fun, all-ages Lego activity that will give residents an opportunity to learn about the issues that Imagine Boston is addressing, and add their own input to guide the plan going forward. We want to bring it to you!

Participation Guidelines:
  • Be within Boston city limits
  • Allow for the setup of a 10’x10’ space (we will bring our own tables and a tent when necessary)
  • Allow for a 2-hour duration of this activity (the activity itself takes about 10 minutes per person)
  • Target at least 50 people

If your event is for a smaller audience or does not fully meet one of the guidelines above, we still urge you to submit. However, please note that although we would like to attend every submitted event, we may not be able to. Priority will be given to larger events and public events.

The full calendar of events will be promoted on our website with full social media coverage!
