Cummins Highway Construction Updates: February, 2025

February Updates

  • Work Hours: 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • Timeline: ongoing
  • Parking Restrictions: Parking will be restricted on Cummins from Woodhaven Street to Wood Ave during all hours.
  • Our contractor (McCourt) will install light pole bases, conduits, and pull boxes from Itasca Street to Harvard Street.
  • Install drainage structures at Ridlon Road and between Kennebec Street and Hebron Street. *Sidewalks will be temporarily closed with pedestrian detours.
  • Continue paving over sidewalks after conduit installation.
  • In late February, our contractor will begin installing light pole bases, conduits, and pull boxes on the southern side of Cummins from Wood Avenue to Ridlon Road.

Summary of Work Completed in 2024

  • Removed the center median from Woodhaven Street to Wood Avenue/Harvard Street and replaced it with a temporary median.
  • Repaved the roadway.
  • Installed drainage structures and electrical conduit from Bismark/Brockton to Rugby/Savannah.
  • Installed new streetlights and removed old streetlights from Woodhaven Street to Ridlon Road/Itasca Street.
