COVID-19 resources for safety and self care
This month, we are sharing a list of articles and resources to help cope with the crisis.
It is a scary time right now. A lot has changed in the last month, very quickly and very severely. As the pandemic continues to develop, many of the traditional structures and supports of society have shifted and changed. We at the Employee Assistance Program want to offer a list of helpful articles and resources for people to explore, to find strategies to help cope with the crisis, and to inform.
EAP COVID-19 Resource List
This list, which will be updated regularly with new information and links as appropriate, features reliable sources of news, articles on coping with stress, online and remote mental health and recovery groups, educational resources, and more. We encourage you to explore and find the links that most suit your needs. Please also reach out to us at eap@boston.gov if you have more resources you think would be beneficial to add to the list.
The EAP is still available for all City of Boston employees, their family members, retirees, participating authorities, and commissions. We are able to provide phone counseling and consultation, and are happy to be a support and resource in this trying time. Please leave a message at 617-635-2200, or email us at eap@boston.gov, and we will get back to you. If you reach out via email, please keep in mind that this is a general email box. Keeping messages to the bare minimum is recommended to maintain privacy. Licensed mental health counselors are available from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and on call from 5 - 8 p.m. Please call the main line for more instructions on how to reach the on-call clinician.
Stay healthy, stay safe.
