City of Boston Traffic Advisory for Week of June 21, 2022
Events include the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge Road Race, Fete de la Musique World Music Day, Trans Resistance March, and Annual BAA 10K.
The annual JP will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 7:15 p.m. bringing traffic changes for the City of Boston. Approximately 5,000 participants will run or walk the racecourse that starts and ends on Charles Street between Boylston Street and Beacon Street.
The 10th Annual Fête de la Musique will be holding a block party on Saturday, June 25, 2022, to celebrate their 10th Anniversary, which will require the closure of Warren Avenue, from Clarendon Street to 23A Warren Avenue during the hours of 2 to 7 p.m.
The Trans Resistance March will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022 in Dorchester.
The Annual B.A.A. 10K is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 26, 2022, which starts on Charles Street near the Center Gate of the Boston Public Garden and makes its way out to Commonwealth Avenue at Babcock Street and returns to Charles Street.
People attending these events are encouraged not to drive their personal vehicles. Information on Bluebikes, the regional bike share service, may be found on the Bluebikes website and information on the MBTA may be found at the MBTA website. For a faster return trip, the MBTA advises riders to purchase a round-trip rather than a one-way ticket. Walking is also a great way to move around Boston. It is important to read all posted signs
Traffic and Parking Restrictions:
The City of Boston Transportation Department is implementing parking restrictions on the following streets to reduce congestion and illegal parking:

“Tow Zone No Stopping Thursday 9:00AM to 9:00PM” signs at the following locations:
- Beacon Street, Both sides, from Charles Street to Arlington Street
- North side (opposite the Common), from Charles Street
- Boylston Street, Both sides, from Arlington Street to Charles Street
- Charles Street South, West side, from Park Plaza to Boylston Street
- Charles Street, Both sides, from Boylston Street to Beacon Street
- Commonwealth Avenue, North side, North roadway, from Arlington Street to approximately 100’ westerly ending at #3.
Fete de la Musique event
“Tow Zone No Stopping Saturday 12:00PM to 7:00PM” and be placed on the following street:
- Warren Avenue, Both sides, from Clarendon Street to 23A Warren Avenue
Trans Resistance March
The march will start at 12:00PM and will follow this route:
- Juniper Street, left onto Cedar Street
- left onto Washington Street
- right onto Dudley Street
- right onto Warren Street
- right onto Elm Hill Avenue
- left onto Seaver Street
- right onto Blue Hill Avenue
- right onto Franklin Park Road
- right onto Circuit
