Call to artists: reimagine City Hall

In honor of Boston City Hall’s 50th anniversary, we are looking for out-of-the-box ideas to reimagine City Hall.

We're looking for artists, architects, and designers to take a photo of Boston City Hall’s exterior and redesign it in a way that you think would take the building to the next level. We are looking for original and creative ideas.

We'll select 15 images to be printed and framed for display in the Mayor’s Gallery on the 5th floor of Boston City Hall for the month of February, and artists can keep their images once the exhibit ends. To be considered for this exhibition, please email the following to John Crowley at john.crowley@boston.gov

  • 1-3 jpeg files of your reimagined ideas. Images should be 5700 x 3900 at 300 dpi.
  • Brief description and titles of the work you are proposing.
  • Resume or brief description of your art experience.

The deadline to submit artwork is January 20, 2019.
