Amid public health crisis, City Council making operational adjustments

Beginning Monday, March 16, the Boston City Council offices and facilities located at City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice. Your City Councilor and his or her staff will continue to be fully available during business hours via phone and email.

The Boston City Council hearings scheduled on Docket #0458 for Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, will be limited to Councilors, staff, and panelists, as the Iannella Chamber will be closed to the public. Members of the public are encouraged to participate remotely. Please see the public notices (here and here) for more information about how to do so. All other hearings previously scheduled for March have been cancelled, to be rescheduled at a later date.

Our City Council meeting on Wednesday, March 18 will take place as scheduled, however, attendance will be limited to Councilors and staff, as the Iannella Chamber will remain closed to the public. Members of the public are encouraged to view the Council meeting via live broadcast on Comcast 8, RCN 82, or Verizon 1964, or via livestream at https://www.boston.gov/city-council-tv.

All items are subject to change as information changes. Our first priority continues to be the health and well-being of the general public, as well as our dedicated staff that work with us in the Boston City Council. We will continue to be available via phone and email during work hours for constituent concerns and will continue working on behalf of the residents of the City of Boston, whether in person at City Hall or remotely.
