28th annual Mayor's Cup Youth Hockey Tournament now underway
Boston’s top youth hockey teams are now meeting for the 2022 Mayor’s Cup Hockey Tournament, beginning with preliminary rounds starting December 17. The tournament runs through December 31.
Hosted by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department with support from presenting sponsor the Boston Bruins Foundation and additional support from P&G Gillette, teams from throughout Boston participate in this citywide tournament to vie for the championship title in 16 divisions for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 (Mites, Girls U10, Squirts, Girls U12, Pee Wees, Girls U14, and Bantam). This year’s teams include Parkway, Dorchester, South Boston, Hyde Park, Allston Brighton, Charlestown, and Score Boston.
Games will be held at local rinks throughout Boston, Starting Friday December 17th through December 31st with the finals at Boston College’s Conte Forum on December 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:50 p.m and additional mite division finals on December 31 at Bajko Arena in Hyde Park 10:00 a.m.
Support for the Mayor’s Cup Ice Hockey Tournament is also provided by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, FMC Ice Sports, and Boston College.
