City Contracting Opportunity Fair
Learn about upcoming contracting opportunities from City departments, including the Department of Neighborhood Development, Public Works, Public Facilities and more.

We designed the Economic Development Center to directly engage with residents and businesses. We want to build pathways to wealth building, and connect you with opportunities to grow and thrive. All workshops are free and open to the public, but require registration.
All workshops include:

- Interpretive services (upon request)

Baseball Clinics - Friday Session
Baseball players will improve their game in a fun environment led by Parks and Recreation staff and the UMass Boston baseball team.
We're holding this free Baseball Clinic at the new Carter Playground Bubble, an inflatable dome over one of the athletic fields that allows for year-round sports and recreation.
The clinic is for ages 7 and up. Athletes can join the Thursday session, the Friday session, or both. Teams and individuals are encouraged to register. Contact Charles Conners for more information and to register.

Winter Soccer Clinics
Join us and get ready for your spring soccer season. Our soccer clinics will help give athletes "a leg up" over their competition.
These clinics will cover:
- Soccer Development

Middle School Girls Rookie Rugby
The Recreation Division is working with the Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization to provide an introductory drop-in girls rookie rugby program.
Girls ages 8 - 14 will learn the safe, non-contact flag version of rugby. We will have a variety of women coaches from local colleges and teams to provide skill building drills. The program occurs over three Sundays at the new Carter Playground Bubble, an inflatable dome over one of the athletic fields that allows for year-round sports and recreation. Join us for all or one of the following three dates in March:
- March 15
- March 22
- March 29
Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. There are girls varsity rugby teams in five Massachusetts high schools and women's rugby teams in colleges across the country. New sport, new experiences and new opportunities.
Softball Clinic - Wednesday Session
The Recreation division is offering a free softball clinic during February school vacation week.
Softball players will improve their game in a fun environment led by Parks and Recreation staff and the UMass Boston women's softball team. We're holding this free softball clinic at the new Carter Playground Bubble, an inflatable dome over one of the athletic fields that allows for year-round sports and recreation.
Most participants are 10 years old through high school age. If you have a younger athlete who would like to participate, contact the program manager for more information.
Athletes can join the Tuesday session, the Wednesday session, or both. Teams and individuals are encouraged to register.
