The celebration marks the beginning of an $8.8 million dollar, single-phase project. The project includes $750,000 of funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund state grant and $2,000,000 donation from Robert Kraft, New England Revolution Investor and Operator, towards an artificial turf field.

AMONG THE PLANNED IMPROVEMENTS: 
  • Play areas for ages 2-5 and 5-12

  • Amphitheater space
  • Four basketball courts
  • Two tennis courts
  • Artificial turf field including: softball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, kickball
  • Walking loop
  • Exercise equipment
  • Pathway improvements including ADA upgrades at pathways and entrances
  • Lighting for the playing fields and courts
  • Scoreboards for field and basketball
  • BBQ areas and plazas
  • Math education trail throughout the park
  • Murals on the courts
