The City of Boston is hosting fix-it clinics at eight different Boston Public Library locations. A Fix-It Clinic is a free event where Boston residents can bring their broken household items to learn and repair, so that they are not trashed. You can bring items including:

• Clothing and fabric
• Computers and phones
• Toys and wooden items
• Kitchen equipment
• Small electrical devices
• Jewelry
• And more!

We want to work with residents to design near-term safety improvements for people walking and biking on South Huntington Avenue, between Heath Street and the Riverway in Mission Hill. We would like to make those changes before the end of 2023. Come chat with us at an in-person, outdoor event to learn more about projects in your neighborhood

These changes will increase the legibility of the bike network in Jamaica Plain. This year's JP projects include Green Street and Seaverns Avenue/Gordon Street, Eliot Street, McBride Street, and Boylston Street.

Join us for a community event celebrating an upcoming public art installation at Fire Station 42 in Roxbury, "Call and Response: Radiating Safety" by L'Merchie Frazier. The event will be held at The Possible Zone on Saturday, April 8, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist, interact with firefighters, engage in hands-on learning with firefighting equipment, and enjoy refreshments and giveaways.

"Call and Response" aims to highlight the collective community call for protection and safety as well as the expectations of trust as a response of service by firefighters.  This sculptural mural will exemplify the critical synergy between the first responders and the respect for the presence of the fire station by resident and business community members.
