Public Facilities Commission Meeting (PFD)

ATTENDANCE

On March 29, 2023, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020 Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through March 31, 2025. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually. This enables the PFC to conduct its usual business while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

With the Welcome Home, Boston Phase 2 Request for Proposals (RFP), the City of Boston has offered 26 parcels of land in Dorchester and Mattapan for residential use. 

The Mayor’s Office of Housing invites you to join two virtual meetings related to this RFP. At these meetings, each RFP respondent will present their development plan and design concepts to the community, and answer questions about their proposal.

Winter Group Bike Ride in Dorchester/Roxbury

Interested in trying out winter biking? Join us for a family and beginner friendly bike route through Dorchester and Roxbury. There will be free hot chocolate!

This ride is in Dorchester/Roxbury!

Ride Details: 

  • There will be two route options: a full route and a half route.
  • Full route details (6 miles)
    • Starting and ending location: in front of Franklin Park Zoo (1 Franklin Park Rd, Boston, MA 02121)
    • We will gather starting at 10:45 a.m. and depart for the ride promptly at 11 a.m.
    • We will stop for free hot chocolate half way through the ride
  • Half route details (3 miles)
    • Starting location: home.stead cafe (1448 Dorchester Ave, Boston, MA 02122)
    • Ending location: in front of Franklin Park Zoo (1 Franklin Park Rd, Boston, MA 02121)
    • We will gather for the ride starting at 12 P.M. and will depart for the ride promptly at 12:20 P.M.
    • We will begin with free hot chocolate at the beginning of the ride
  • Please dress warmly, with lots of layers

Public Improvement Commission Meeting

Project teams and Commission members will be participating in this hearing primarily from remote locations.
