Join the City of Boston's Zero Waste team and Dr. Bridget Lee to learn more about how microplastics affect human health and what we can do to reduce our risk.
This workshop will explore what plastics are, and what we are learning about their toxicity and effects on human health. From there we will brainstorm what we can do to reduce our own risks and decrease our use of plastic.
Dr. Bridget Lee is an emergency physician at NeighborHealth in East Boston, where she runs a sustainability team. She is also a member of Greater Boston Beyond Plastic and is on their speaker’s bureau, and helps to educate healthcare providers on how and why to reduce plastic in their practice.
Members of Boston's Zero Waste Team will also be there to share resources for reducing and managing waste in Boston.
At this meeting we will share concept ideas with the community to gather feedback.
Please join us for an in-person community meeting with a question-and-answer session afterward.
