Age Strong is conducting a needs assessment to learn more about the needs, concerns, and priorities of Boston’s older adults. Information will be gathered via surveys, focus groups, and listening sessions to learn more about the experiences of older adults and their caregivers. The goal is to create an Age Strong Plan which aims to make Boston inclusive and accessible to people of all ages. This is a valuable opportunity to let your voice be heard! We want to hear your ideas about how we can make Boston a better place to age. To see other upcoming listening sessions, visit our listening session webpage.

Language interpretation and translation services and disability accommodations are available to you at no cost. If you need them, please contact Ava Portela at ava.portela@boston.gov, or call 617-635-1953.

After being on display for nearly six months, The Gun Violence Memorial Project will be coming down from the MASS office, the ICA, and Boston City Hall on January 20th. It has been an incredible privilege to collaborate with our Boston partners—the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, Boston’s Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture, and Boston’s Un-Monument Initiative—to host the project in the city.

Join us for a closing ceremony on 1/13 to remember and celebrate our loved ones in the memorial through a reading of the names. Families and partners in the Boston area are invited to join us in person at the MASS office, and all are welcome to participate online.

The memorial will be opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit this spring. More information on the memorial’s opening in Detroit will be shared soon!

If you have any questions regarding the event, please reach out to participate@massdesigngroup.org
