GND Zero Waste Employee Resource Group

The Green New Deal Zero Waste ERG (ZWERG) brings together city employees who are interested in living a greener, more sustainable, waste-free lifestyle.

The Zero Waste ERG will serve as a resource for anyone who is interested in living a more sustainable, waste-free lifestyle. The Zero Waste ERG will:

  • Build a culture for City workers that fosters innovation, inclusion, and mutual aid in the pursuit of reducing waste in our lives.
  • Create educational opportunities to learn about the City of Boston’s contribution to waste and waste reduction as an employer.
  • Provide employees opportunities and resources for growing into a more Zero Waste lifestyle such as waste reduction contests, park/street cleanups, repair clinics, clothing swaps, donation drives, gardening, and discussion groups.
