Who we are
The Safe and Successful Youth Initiative (SSYI) in Boston is funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services and operates out of the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC). SSYI utilizes a comprehensive public health approach to outreach, engagement, case management and service delivery to increase positive outcomes for adolescents and young adults ages 17-24. All clients are referred by public safety agencies who have identified these individuals as those most at-risk of being victims or perpetrators of firearm violence.
Our services
BPHC SSYI case managers partner with clients to access education/developmental life skills, employment, and behavioral health services as well as long-term, meaningful adult relationships.
