Chelsea Contreras
Chelsea Contreras received her B.A. in Public Health from Brandeis University. Chelsea is interested in health equity, maternal and infant health, and community outreach for Black and POC populations. In 2019, she spent a semester in Madrid interning with the NGO, Manos Unidas. There, she conducted research and presented a project in which women's health can improve by implementing comprehensive sexual education in South America, Africa, and Asia. That same year, she also interned with the Executive Director at Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center. While there, she collected and analyzed data on social determinants of health. She also reached out to Boston's youth for summer opportunities to improve their overall health. At BAHEC, Chelsea supports college level students with their journey through outreach, researching, and providing resources to help with college retention.
