Eligibility and Services
The Ryan White Part A program offers eligible people core medical services and essential support services.
Eligibility
To be eligible for services you must be:
- HIV positive
- Live in Bristol, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, and Worcester county in Massachusetts; Hillsborough, Rockingham, or Strafford county in New Hampshire
- Income 500% or less of the current federal poverty level
Services provided
ServicesADAP provides approved medications to low-income living with HIV who have no or limited health care coverage.
This service focuses on improving health outcomes for clients, including viral suppression rates. Funded activities in this category include engagement in primary medical care and health-related support services. Client-centered services support a client's self-sufficiency and independence. Key activities include:
- information and referral
- assessment of the client's needs and personal support systems
- development of a comprehensive individualized service care plan
- coordination of the services required to implement the plan
- client monitoring to assess the efficacy of the plan
- periodic reassessment
- adoption of the plan
Medical case management programs establish and maintain effective links with primary care and other service providers. They prevent duplication of medical case management across providers. They also provide services in a harm reduction framework including risk assessment and risk reduction planning.
This service focuses on improving access to care. This includes improved access to both core medical and support services. These activities usually happen in non-medical community-based facilities. Client-centered services support a client's self-sufficiency and independence.

They provide services in a harm reduction framework and include risk assessment and risk reduction planning.
Emergency Financial Assistance provides limited one-time or short-term payments to assist with an urgent need for essential items.
Food Bank & Home Delievered Meals provides hot meals and other food items.
Health Education & Risk Reduction educates clients living with HIV how to reduce the risk of transmission and treatment options.
Housing services include help with housing searches, applying for housing, and homelessness prevention.
Linguistic services provide translation services to assis in communicating with providers.
Medical Case Management aims to improve the long-term health of clients. This includes help accessing and maintaining medical care, education on medication, and help applying for state and federal benefits.
Medical Nutrition Therapy gives clients education and coaching on nutrition to stay healthy.
Medical Transportation helps clients get to medical appointments.
Non-Medical Case Management helps clients connect to services such as employment, legal, education, and other support services.
Oral Health helps clients access dental care with referrals to dentists and financial help if eligible.
Other Professional Services can help clients with legal issues such as housing discrimination or denial of benefits.
Psychosocial Support services give clients mental healthcare in individual our group sessions.
